Length: 7.5-miles (one-way)

Short Trail Summary: This hike description is to the junction with FS 725.

This mountain bike friendly trail is a single track that climbs up from East Fork Road. It is considered an advanced ride and best experienced beginning from the top of FS 725 which often recommends a 4WD vehicle to reach the easternmost trail access.

Beginning from East Fork Road, the trail ascends a grassy hillside quickly reaching aspen stands and winding trail. At 3-miles reach a large meadow. Look for the rock cairn that signifies the junction with Windy Pass Trail No. 566. This junction is in a large meadow with great mountain views. Turn east at the junction and continue another 2-miles to the top of the trail with expansive mountain views to Quartz Ridge in the south and a burn area that contrasts with the scenery. There are a couple of switchbacks near the headwaters of Treasure Creek.

Directions: From US 160/US 84 junction, continue east for 9.7-miles. Turn south onto East Fork Road (FS 667). Continue for 7-miles to the trailhead on the north side of the road. Limited parking available. Be considerate of private property boundaries. A 4WD vehicle is recommended but the road is usually in good condition for a 2WD car to make it.
