Divide Lakes Trail Map

Length: 1.9 miles (one-way)

Elevation Stats: Starting elevation is 9,818′,  ending elevation is 9,898′, giving an overall change in elevation of 80′.  (with an ascent of 438′ and a descent of 358′) 

Trailhead Facilities: Vault toilet and horse trailer parking lot at the Poison Park Trailhead

Short Trail Summary:  To reach the short Divide Lakes Trail, hikers must first reach the junction of the trail located approximately 7.8-miles up the Weminuche Trail No 592. The junction is not marked as seen in the picture above.  Go left, or west,  at this junction. The trail follows a contour for about a mile to the long Divide Lakes. Camping spots are available at the lake.  The trail continues less than a mile to the Pine River Trail.  Fording the Pine River will usually involve getting your feet wet.  There is a junction to Granite Lake right before you reach the Pine River.

Directions: Drive North on Piedra Road (CR 600/FS 631) 22-miles to the intersection with the FS 640 (Williams Creek Road). Turn north and drive an additional 3.5-miles to FS 644 (Poison Park Road), turning west and then another 3.0-miles to the Poison Park trailhead located at the end of the road.  From this trailhead, it is 7.8 miles to the Divide Lakes Trail.
